 Pictures this Wednesday! Don't forget to send in canned goods or boxed items for our Thanksgiving basket drive. It is a class competition for a pizza party!! Thank you to those who chaperoned the field trip and/or helped with the party. I appreciate all your help. 
It is going to be a fun and exciting year!
Don't forget to send a cold lunch with your child every day. We will be getting started on our regular math, reading, spelling and language arts programs next week. We are reviewing this week and assessing to place the students in the correct math and reading groups.
After the snacks I have are gone, I will no longer be providing a snack for students who do not bring one in. Those students will have to go without snack.  If your child is bringing home a lot of homework then please speak with them about doing their work in class. I give them plenty of time in class so they should only have a small portion of their papers to complete at home, if any. If your child is consistently bringing work home please email me. Your child wrote their spelling list to keep at home on Friday. We will be working on those words all week. Please practice them at home as we will have the test on Friday. I have leveled the spelling and each week-- all of the lists will concentrate on a certain sound. This weeks lists focus on the short /i/ sound.

Make sure your child brings their white folder to school EVERY DAY.
Mrs. Sue Lemon will be our class coordinator for parties. She will be getting in contact with those of you who indicated that you would like to help out. Our first class celebration will be our harvest party in October.
Please email Sue Lemon your contact number so she can let you know her ideas for the party and what needs to be done/brought in.
